TALLEY, Ferraby Ann Parker Searching for siblings and parents of Ferraby Ann Parker(born abt 1804 in Green Cty GA?) Don't know if Parker is her maiden name and she was married to a Talley. She later married John M. Bolton (B abt 1806 S.C.)
They moved to Alabama (abt 1838-1866) and then to MS (abt 1866-1870)
John Bolton died 1868 in Clinton Hinds, Cty, MS. After his death Ferraby Ann and children moved to Henderson Rusk Cty, TX about 1871.
They had the following children: Elizabeth Jane (b 5-3-1835-GA), John Wesley (b 6-6-1838 AL), Wade Austin, (B 8-1-1841in AL), James A Bolton (b 11-15-1847- AL), George Neal (B 3-14-1849-AL), Nancy s (b 1848-AL), Lucinda (b 1844-AL) and Sylvester Parker (b 6-22-1854-AL or MS?). All of the children came to Texas with Ferraby Ann with the exception of Lucinda.
My brick wall is very tall and thick, I have not been able to find any information on Ferraby Ann or John Bolton. Any information or clue would be appreciated.

THOMPSON, David Sherrell BRICK WALL if ever there was one! A number of kinsmen and a genealogist I hired (who may not have been what he claimed) have looked for years for the father of David Sherrell (b.1820 NC) and Elisha Elcanie (1823) Thompson
who came to Mississippi in the mid-1840s. Brother Darrell apparently came also but is said to have been killed somewhere along the way; brother Thomas remained in Toccoa, GA--and he may have been the father of the Thomas A. (b. 1891) who appears in the 1840 census in Toccoa, Stephens County. Both Elisha (my ancestor) and David Sherrell told census takers later that they had been born in NC.
My Great Uncle Sam wrote me many years ago that Uncle Tom wrote my
grandfather from Toccoa. The family believed that the father (unknown) may also have settled in Stephens County. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to find the missing father and mother? I'm running out of avenues to explore--I've become kissing cousins with most Thompson trees on Genealogy.com and Ancestry.com but can't pin anything down!
Thank you in advance for any consideration!

TOLBERT, William M. 1845- sometime after 1900
Early info on this man is very sketchy. He lived in Jackson County, Georgia with his wife Catherine T. and children, William Jack, Joseph Thomas, Hester, and Henry Claude during the 1880 census. Most of us believe he is the Marion and the William mentioned on the 1850 and '60 censuses with Sarah Tolbert. But we have no proof of who his parents really were..only suppositions. We THINK he was the son of William L. Tolbert and Caroline Hutson. He fought with Co. E, 34th regiment GVI during the War Between the States.I cannot find him on any census for Georgia in 1870, nor can I find where or when he married Catherine (Lula)-tho I have been told she was a Martin. His second wife was Mary Wood. He married her in July of 1885 in Jackson Co. He is buried in the Harris-Lord Cemetery in Jackson County. If anyone has any proof of his parentage or any idea where he married Lula--please contact me.

TOMS, Edward Thomas I am searching for any information on the Toms family that lived in Lincoln
and Columbia counties, GA, in the early 1800s. Edward Thomas Toms (Tombs)
married Jane Garvin in Columbia County, GA, in 1805. Does anyone know who
their parents were? Does anyone know what happened to Edward Thomas Toms?
Assuming he died young, as he and Jane had only two known children, Edward H.
(what does the "H" stand for?) Toms who married Lucy Hunter (no clue as to
her parentage???) and Brunetta Toms who married John Lockhart in Lincoln Co.,
GA. In 1812 a Jane Tombs married a Thomas Willis in Columbia Co., GA. Does
anyone know for a certainty that this Jane Tombs is Jane Garvin Tom? If so,
did she have children with Thomas Willis? Who are they? Where are Jane and
Thomas Willis buried?

TURNER, Bartholomew My Brick Wall is Bartholomew Turner. He was born ca 1798 (Georgia?) and died 1852 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama. He married Sarah A. Morgan, daughter of Jesse and Elizabeth Arnold Morgan of Morgan County, GA. Bartholomew and Sarah lived in Morgan and Newton County Georgia before moving to Chambers and Tallapoosa County Alabama sometime before 1840. I have a copy of his Will, and a list of their children, and know that he and Sarah are buried on the Turner Plantation near Dadeville, Alabama. I would like to know who Bartholomews parents and siblings were, and where they were from. Bonnie 4-15-2005
