PEAVY, Benjamin F. I am looking for Benjamin F. Peavy born Jan 2, 1852, died Dec. 9, 1929 in Dooly County, Ga. According to the 1880 Census:
First wife was Johanna P. Hayes and children were Hollis Age 6, Allice Age 4, and James F.B. Age 5 months. His youngest child was my great-grandmother named Mary E. Peavy. Her death certificate in Dooly Co., Ga. shows her mother being Elizabeth Hayes. I have been told that he and Johanna were married in Houston Co. and moved to Dooly Co. Mary E. Peavy was born in May 1881. I cannot find out where the Hayes were from or if he was married to either one of these ladies. There is no one in this area that is aware of any Hayes living in Dooly Co. Benjamin was the son of Green B. Peavy and Martha Ann Vinson Peavy of Dooly Co. Please let me know if you have any ideas or information.

PICKETT, Alice I am looking for information on my ggrandmother Alice Hortense Bailey. I am posting below all the information I have on her. My grandmother, Annie Kate Pickett, was born on 1017/1897. My grandmothers delayed birth certificate says her mother was born near Quitman, GA. My grandfather William Raines Pickett was born in 1862 in Webster County, GA.
I found this information in the Randolph Co. GA Marriage Records 1828-1922:

Miller, J. D. Bailey, Alice H. 1 Jan 1893
289-6-Randolph
Both my ggrandfather and ggrandmother died within a month of each. Vilulah Cemetery is right on the county line between Clay and Randolph Counties. In fact if IIRC you can go from one county to the other walking from the church to the cemetery.
