HALL, John and Mary Silcox left FL to be married in Darien, GA in 1807. They may have remained there but I don't think so. In 1817 my G Grandfather William Ray Hall was born in McIntosh County, GA. They were residents of FL, lived here, fought in the Indian Wars in N FL. They died in FL and are buried here.
I have wondered if they were related to families in McIntosh County. I cannot locate info about them. McIntosh came out of Liberty County earlier.
They had later contact with the Mallard, Dees, Bailey and Shave families in FL. I found the Mallard and Shave names in the Midway Church area.
Any clues anyone?
Thank you

HARDWICK, David Jackson I am looking for information on my great grandfather who was supposedly born in Georgia on June 25, 1825. His name was David Jackson Hardwicke or Hardwick and his parents we think were Robert W. Hardwicke or Hardwick and Emma C. Files Hardwicke or Hardwick. I think they might have been from Stewart county Georgia, but this is only because I found a David J. and Robert W. Hardwick listed on a census from the
1800's and the census listed them as living in Stewart County Georgia. It may not even be the same people. I would appreciate any assistance you could give me.

HUNT, Thomas I am searching for early background information re Thomas Hunt, born in S. Carolina; DOB-?; married Elizabeth Gaddis cc 1825-30; died cc 1847 and buried-?. Elizabeth was born in N.C.and her father was Archibald Gaddis of Habersham Co., GA.
Thomas and Elizabeth's children were: Dennis Alexander, Hogan, Fredrick, Emily, Thomas, Washington, Archibald and Jackson (my great grandfather). After Thomas died his will indicated two additional sons, Jesse Carson Hunt and Calvin Jones Hunt. Calvin was born in Habersham Co., GA and Jesse could have been as well.
The will mentions two sets of children, the older set and the younger set. The identity of Thomas' first wife is unknown to the researcher as well most of the older set of children. I seek infromation on Thomas' early life and researchers on this family that are willing to share information.
Thomas won lots of land in the Cherokee Land Lottery in Cherokee County, GA and lived there between 1830-1850. I believe the rest of the family sold the farm and left GA around 1856, some going to MS and some to Alabama with most others whereabouts unknown.
