    EARL

I am looking for information on my grandfather, Joseph "Fred" Earl, who worked as a master stone cutter in Elberton in, I believe, the early 1940's. I know he came there from New Orleans, and I know he worked on Stone Mountain while there. His son, my dad, James Earl, went to school in Elberton, and played on the basketball team. His daughter, Phyllis, worked at a diner for a while--Gray's Diner, as my dad remembers it.

I know this is a needle in a haystack, but I'm trying to piece together an extraordinary journey through life for my dad, and would appreciate any help you can offer.

EASON, John was found living with his wife's parents Louis Borders in Heard County, 1860.
    John Eason
    Nancy (Borders) Eason
    children: Erastus Eason
    James Eason
Nancy died following child birth, with James. The children were left with an aunt, Lucinda (Pope) Eason, also found in Heard County, and John Eason supposedly joined the war from Heard County. But I cannot find any further trace of where he ended up or where he came from. The census says he was born in Georgia, but not sure where or who his parents were. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You,
